P&Co turns 1!

2019 has been one eventful year. From protests to missions to land on the moon, body positivity to Indian weddings trending on Instagram. Ever more so for Diya, who has had her 2019 become the year she turned an entrepreneur. Nothing short of a roller coaster ride.

As a team, we sat down with her for a quick virtual tête-à-tête (social distancing and all).

Shraddhaa: Recount the last year with P&Co in 5 words.

Challenging, overwhelming, exciting, successful. The Best Year yet (cause it is so hard to put it in so few words).

Meghana: What has been the biggest learning so far?

Well, dealing with different personalities tops the list definitely. With an agency background, understanding a client’s need and catering to it exactly was a no-brainer. But managing a  growing team was something I learnt on the go, especially with all of you joining within the space of a few months.

On a personal note, getting my day in order to handle so many responsibilities at P&Co was only possible thanks a to very structured routine. It took a while to settle into this rhythm that we have now. Lastly, being an entrepreneur and a creative, there are just so many things to handle. The emotional range I have had this past year is something I have experienced for the very first time.

Sakshi: Has your perspective changed since starting out on your own?

Yes. In every single way I can think of. We’re a social media agency and always try to cater to a brand’s end audience. While doing so, I have to constantly keep in mind the perspective of the client, their brand vision and mission. At the end of the day I have two audience’s to keep satisfied – my client and my client’s customer. This requires a constant shift in perspective.

Yamini: In the last few weeks, what has been your strategy to manage our team dynamics and culture while we all work remotely?

-A structured daily routine that is very similar to what we would do if we were back at our office.
-Daily task lists
-Daily team conference calls and a check in at the end of each day.
-Having a dedicated work space
-Constant research to keep current with trends

Tools like Zoom for video calls, Wunderlist and Asana to manage our tasks and content calendars have definitely made remote collaboration lot less chaotic. And Whatsapp, is of course our saviour.

Shraddhaa: So which one of us is your favourite then?

Hahah. Stay tuned to find out!
